Taylor Swift took home the coveted Country Artist of the Year award Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards.
The singer, who is no stranger to awards these days, kept her award acceptance speech short and sweet, thanking none other than her fans and Country Radio, stating that she was having the best time and enjoying her career! Surely she's had plenty of opportunities to thank her friends, family, the (ex) loves who have inspired the majority of her music, and her management team in the dozens of other acceptance speeches she's given, right?
Swift, who topped other nominees Lady Antebellum, The Zac Brown Band, Jason Aldean, and Kenny Chesney, can hopefully recognize the irony in her win: She opened for the legendary Chesney on his own tour just a few years back!
